Mozy is an online backup service that allows users to backup up their computer files onto the company's data centers through the Internet. Mozy is a subsidiary of EMC, one of the world's largest providers of data storage platforms.
In order to use the services offered by Mozy, users have to download and install a small application that will automate and synchronize the files to be backed up. The selected files are transferred over the Internet to Mozy's servers for storage and can be retrieved at anytime. Backup schedules can be configured according to the user's preference. Users can automate the backup schedule every month, every week, or as often as every couple of hours each day.
